Question: I had sex with a girl alittle over a month ago. She has told me she has missed her period for 7 days. I used a condom and she used the pill and i didnt go inside even with the condom on. Do i need to worry aboutbher being pregnant? She also took a pregnancy test like the first day she was late and itnwas negative

Brief Answer:
Wait and watch. Pregnancy unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. If you had used a condom, she had used a pill, and no penetrative sex was involved (I hope that is what you mean to say when you say that you did not go inside her), there is no reason to be worried about. If she had taken the pill (I hope it is a post exposure pill that you are talking about) she should have got some bleeding about 5 days subsequent to it. In such a case the periods are likely to be delayed. I would insist her to wait and watch and to retest after a week if she still does not get her periods. Hopefully she would.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Further details needed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the clarification. I would need to ask if you know the stage of cycle she was in when you had the sex. Furthermore, I would need to know how long she had been on the birth control pills and whether she is still on the pills. If she is continuously on the pills she would not get her periods.

She always takes them. She has her days doen to a science. It was a week after she got off her period when we had sex, but we did it quite a few times that week. Shes been on them for quite a long time. Like years i think .

Brief Answer:
Periodic breaks are taken in case of a 21 day pill

Detailed Answer:
If she is regularly on pills there is no reason to be worried. I need to know when has she last taken the break (assuming it to be a 21 day pill).

I dont know that much information. She just took them regularly. I used new condoms and they didnt have holes in them. She told me she is late. She said she didnt think shes pregnant and that she just hasnt bled and its freaking her out. I broke it off a month ago and she got very upset. I blocked her from everything before and i hope she isnt just saying this to get me back

Brief Answer:
Stopping the pills gives withdrawal bleeding

Detailed Answer:
If she keeps taking the hormonal pills (all the pills of a 21 day pill are hormonal pills, all but 7 of the 28 day pills are hormonal pills) continually, she will not get her periods. She would get her periods (withdrawal bleeding) in 5-7 days after stopping the hormonal pills.

Given the information i have given. Do you think i habe gotten her pregnant? I wore a condom and she too theboill

Answered by Dr. Prof. Kunal Saha (14 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Very unlikley

Detailed Answer:
Based on the given information it is very unlikely for her to have become pregnant. The very fact that she is regularly on pills alleviates the requirement to use condoms.
