Can Coconut Water Be Consumed Daily During Pregnancy?

Question: Hi doctor,
My wife is 4 weeks pregnant. Can you please answer below questions?
1. She is suffering from wet cough (light yellow color is coming when coughing) from 1 week. Can you suggest a cough syrup for her, is it safe to use it now?
2. Is it advisable for her to take coconut water daily?
3. Is it advisable for her to take 1 glass of butter milk daily?
4. Can you suggest diet schedule for her?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
1. She can take grilinctus cough syrup for cough relief.Yes, it is safe to use at this stage. She should also take steam inhalation.
2.She can take coconut water daily.
3. Buttermilk should be avoided till she is having cough, after that she can take it daily.
4.She should take high protein diet consisting of :
7AM- one glass milk
9AM- one cup sprouts or regular breakfast
11AM- seasonal fruits
1PM- Lunch with curd, salad
3PM- nuts or fruit
5 PM- tea with snacks
8PM- Dinner, with Daal , curd
10PM - one glass milk.
