Question: Could large bilateral renal calculi- too big to pass without lithotripsy, low back pain treated with 9 yrs Morphine sulfate ER+ IR dc'd ...pain due to adhesive arachnoiditis and bilateral foraminal stenosis at multiple levels and flank pain from calculi be why my BP went from average readings of 108/64- 114-74 pulse 72-78 up to over 160-184/100-116 hr 90-110..?? another thing Basically my activity level has decreased dramatically since flank pain unrelieved by current opiate regimen....I know these all factor in..Just seems like I was doing great...then all of the wheels fell off

Generally it will depend on the size of the renal calculi. a 5-6mm kidney stone has a 60% chance to pass out spontaneously and the percentages will go down as the size of the stone increases. If the kidney stones are causing your flank pain then it will not stop until there is relief of obstruction (lithotripsy or any form of stone fragmentation).
