Can I Do Total Hip Replacement And Therapy When I Have Degenerative Changes At The Radial Ulnar Joint, Radiocarpal Joint, And Triscaphe At The Joint?

Question: How can I have a total hip replacement and do therapy for it if both of my wrists have degenerative changes at the radial ulnar joint, radiocarpal joint, and triscaphe at the joint. Mild widening of the scapholunate interval consistent with scapholunate ligament tearing/ disruption? My wrists are weak and they know it so how do I hold myself up for therapy and moving around with a new hip the constricts my movements. Sorry for all the info but the technical info is from the radiologist.

Brief Answer:
Wrist joint symptoms can improve with medicines.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

You have degenerative changes in the wrists but these are minor inflammatory changes and should improve symptomatically with proper medicines. The hips also have degenerative changes that need a replacement. The degeneration of hip will progress further and delaying the surgery can further make the walking more painful. It is best to follow the advice given by your orthopedist.

I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.
