Can Genvoya Lead To A Delay In The Elimination Of Tamsulosin?

default
Posted on Mon, 4 Sep 2023
Question: I am HIV+, and under my doctor's recommendation, have switched from a combination of Kaletra and Truvada to one Genvoya tablet daily. Made the change about 3 months ago. I was also taking Tamsulosin and Pravastatin and developed a facial rash and felt poorly. Have stopped the Tam. after I researched drug interactions and the Prav. The facial rash started improving in 2 4 hours. Wondering if the Genvoya might NOT be the rash either. Thinking of returning to Kaletra and truvada combo. Any thoughts? Thnak you. XXXXXXX

Genvoya can delay the elimination of the tamsulosin and prav.

Hello,

You should know that genvoya can delay the elimination of the tamsulosin and prav from the body. So this effect can impact in your body and your problems could be related to this situation.

I suggest to meet your doctor and not stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without your doctor's approval.
