Question: Yes, can depakote be stopped all at once or should one be weaned off it. Can not reach my neurologist until the 17th of November

Abrupt discontinuation of Depakine is not recommended and it should be gradually reduced and stopped usually during 2 weeks period but exact dosage and period depends on your primary disease, dosage, duration of therapy and kidney function.

So it would be good to see the doctor who prescribed it so that appropriate discontinuation can be recommended.
