Believe It Or Not I Have Had Right Side Throat

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Apr 2019
Question: Believe it or not I have had right side throat irritation and dryness on and off for 10 years +.

I have been checked numerous times by ENT specialists.
Nothing.

Seems dry a bit in am but generally better after I wake up but gets progressively worse as the day goes on.

I do have some allergies, post nasal drip, and even heart burn occasionally.

Am I dehydrated? Post nasal? Heart burn? Do any of these cause the problem described on one side?

Brief Answer:
It seems allergic rhinosinusitis and pharyngitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It's evident from your symptoms that you may be having allergic rhinosinusitis and pharyngitis. Do a X ray paranasal sinus to see the sinus. As you have postnasal drip your sinuses and nose may be infected or having allergic mucin. Take fluticasone nasal spray.Take steam inhalation. Do betadine gargle. Take omeprazole tablet to reduce acid reflux which is causing heartburn. Drink plenty of water. Lead healthy lifestyle. Take less spicy food. Avoid excessive tea, coffee. Avoid dust and cold. Clean bed sheet, curtains twice weekly.

Please review if you have any queries.
