Are Varied Sexual Preferences Towards Oral Sex Normal?

default
Posted on Fri, 15 May 2015
Question: My husband and I have been together 9 1/2 years and married for 2 years in July. We are incredibly happy and the best of friends. We're pregnant with our first too! He's my rock. He's never been into giving oral sex. He did a couple times super early in the relationship for a min or two but has never liked giving it. He doesn't need it from me either, but I enjoy giving it to him. Is it true some guys just aren't into that just like some girls aren't into it?

Brief Answer:
honest mutual communication is the key

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Sexual preferences are extremely variable across different societies, communities and individuals . Yes, some guys do not like oral sex because of perception of uncleanliness . There may be other reasons for not preferring it . There is bound to be difference between man and wife. The best option is talk to each other frankly about likes and dislikes and try to enhance mutual pleasure by different ways. You can make a request and he may agree . If he does not like, you can think of some alternative like finger, toy by self or him doing it. But never let anything block mutual pleasure.

It's definitely not a new thing. Has always been this way. 9 1/2 years. He's the love of my life. So what you're saying is not to let one part of intimacy affect our sex life. All other aspects are wonderful. I wouldn't want him to do something he's uncomfortable with or didn't like, just like I wouldn't want him doing that to me. So if I'm ok with it, it's not strange it's not his thing?

Brief Answer:
You can discuss likes and dislikes

Detailed Answer:
Hello
yes, you are right . A couple will not be comfortable in some ways of love making like oral sex in your case but it is always better to discuss personal likes and dislikes . This helps you to make your bond stronger .

Ok, so I can relax and be happy. He loves me to death I know. Just one thing he's not into and I am ok with that. Just wanted to make sure this wasn't abnormal or something.
