Brief Answer:
Fatality depends on age, stage, overall health and the type of Lymphoma.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to H.C.M.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Difference between Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is made after aspiration and biopsy of the tumor tissue.

1) Hodgkin's Fatality-

Fatality depends on stage and risk factor profile.

Mostly patients with Hodgkin lymphoma at first presentation reach complete remission after the initial standard treatment including radiotherapy, combination chemotherapy or combined modality therapy.

2) Non Hodgkin's -

Fatality of Non Hodgkin's vary widely.

It depends on the lymphoma type, stage, age of the patient, and other variables.

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas are classified as

A) Indolent (slow-growing)

B) Aggressive (fast-growing).

People with slower growing cancers can live a long time.

While aggressive forms of Non Hodgkin's can be treated but late diagnosis can cause problems.
In this case the cancer may be fatal before treatment has time to take effect.
