Question: About a month ago, I started having numbness in my right upper back (diminished or no feeling when scratch or touch the area). A about a week later the numbness spread to my right arm/hand, and a few days later to my right leg/foot which is been gradually worsening. It has also spread to my lips.Sometimes a have a tingling feeling in the right ear (no pain). I have been having spills of dizziness on and off (wavy feeling). I have noticed some erectile dysfunction in the last 2-3 months. I have had on/off chest pain for the last six months (negative cardiac workup). I have also noticed some tremor in my jaw and right hand (nothing major). Sometimes I feel that my internal body is shaking. I have seen a neurologist and he ordered a brain and c-spine MRI (scheduled in a month). What are the possible scenarios? Anything I need to do in the mean time?
I have a history of HTN (controlled). I am a 38-yo male. with a BMI of 30.

Brief Answer:
Possible conditions listed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query.

I agree with the Neurologist's recommendations for imaging studies evaluation in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.

One possible explanation may be Chiari type 1 malformation.

Other conditions even to be excluded are lesions of the parietal area of the left brain hemisphere ( vascular malformations, for example, etc.).

Your issues seems to be not related to the history of the HTN.

The diagnosis in your case will be clear after the imaging studies evaluation.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
