Suggest Treatment For Heel Spur

I was diagnosed with a heel spur in my left foot. I was given an air cast and after one day of wearing it, my root foot started to hurt. It feels like there is a bubble in the arch of my foot. I've iced it and stretched it out. Any other suggestions for what I could do, and what my problem might be???

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Calcaneal spur is not the direct cause of pain, instead the pain is due to the inflammation in the soft tissue surrounding the spur. The aim of the treatment is to reduce this inflammation thereby reducing pain.

TREATMENT:
1) Silicon heel cushion ( to be kept in shoe )
2) MCR chappal ( at home)
3) Feet to be kept in warm water every night for about 15 minutes

This should do the job .It takes atleast 15 days before u feel better.
