What Is The Cause For Higher Sgpt?

i have normal sgot level but i high level of sgpt ie 91 and very high ggpt ie 107 i am a non drinker and i am a no n smoker!
i have a history of fever and nausea but allmmy blood tests came back negative and about a week back my sgpt was 173?
what coukld be the cause

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Liver diseases cause elevated liver enzymes.
SGOT and SGPT are two liver enzymes which are increased in liver cell damage.
Gamma GT levels are increased in alcoholic liver disease.
SGOT and SGPT are usually elevated together.
Elevation of SGPT and gamma Gt in the absence of history of alcoholism is unlikely.
You need to get these tests repeated.
A past history of fever could be due the liver injury in past.
