Is scarlet fever deadly? Does people die by it especially 3 year olds?

Yes, if you don't treat, and particularly if it is severe and the child is not well nourished during the disease,there's a chance it could happen with all the dehydration because of the disease. If it's treated and the child's nutrition managed properly, the child will get better.
