Itchy, Painful Rash On Left Side Of Torso. Shingles?

I have a rash on the left side of my torso from my hip to just under my breast. It is very itchy and painful and sometimes it feels like it hurts all the way down to my bones. I have had it for a very long time (maybe 8 months) but it started right above my left buttock as an itchy dry patch and now is a full blown issue. I didn't think it could be shingles because it started 8 months ago and has gotten progressively worse. I am a 45 year old female, average weight and height and in good health otherwise.

Thanks for the query,

I dont think it is shingles.

Shingles present as vesicles and that too it is limited in a particular dermatome localised to one particular area.

Patches are rare in shingles.
