Severe Stomach Pain, Vomiting Bile With Black Discharge, No Fever Or Diarrhea. Cure For Symptoms?
Sat. mid morning; My 63 year old wife has severe upper stomach pain no diarrea, no fever threw up bile with some black stuff. hasn t thrown up since but continues having severe stomach pain. On Friday she had stopped at a fast food place and said the fries and burger did not taste right threw out the fries but eat the burger. This is Sunday AM no change sleeps a few hrs wakes with pain. What can I do to help her.
Pain at that level of the stomach could be due to peptic ulcer diseases or GERD or acute gastritis or acid reflux or biliary disorder (stones, infection etc). To cure or treat the symptoms, the cause has to be first of all be determined. Treating symptoms will require antispasmodic medications such as hysocin butyl or spasfon and analgesic pain killers such as acetaminophen or other stronger (non-NSAID) medications such as tramadol.
But what you actually need to do now is consult a gastroenterologist who can properly evaluate you and determine the actual cause of your pain. You will require blood tests, endoscopy and physical examination for the cause to be determine.
Hope this helps and wish you the best.
