Swelling In Neck, Collarbone, Shoulder Painful, Tiredness. What Is Wrong?

I have a soft baseball size swelling at the base of my neck , near my right collar bone, my right arm is heavy with pain, uncomfortable to sleep at night, always tired. I have been to Dr. , had an ultrasound and a xray , found nothing. Went back to Dr last friday, as it has flared up again, she thinks it is muscular. The pain is getting worse, across my shoulder and down my right arm

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The xray would have shown up any bony lesions and the ultrasound should have any significant soft tissue masses or issues.

It is possible that the pain is muscular as your doctor suggested. You may want to note if there are any particular movements or activities that seem to bring on or aggravate the pain.

It would be important to rest the area. Other aspects of treatment are: ice therapy, elevation and compression bandages if there is any swelling.
You may also want to consider the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, aspirin or celebrex.
These should be taken on a full stomach.

Physiotherapy may also be helpful.

I hope this helps
