What Is The Cure For Sore Throat And Swollen And Painful Glands?

For the past 9 days I've been suffering with what I thought was tonsillitis. After 4 days,the headache went but I still had the sore throat but only on the left side. My gland is very swole to touch and drinking,eating ,swallowing is very painful but only with the left side

Hi and thanks for the query,

You can take an over the counter pain killer for now.
You will also require an appropriate antibiotic, so you should pay a visit to the doctor. Also it is important to rule out a complication like peritonsillitis.
In the meantime you can follow some general measures.
1) Warm salt water gargling 5 times per day.
2)Steam inhalation 4 times daily.
3)Avoid cold foods and airconditioning.
4)Drink plenty of water.
