What Should Be Done If Phenyl Has Been Ingested Accidentally?
My son aged 18 accidentally ingested maybe a tablespoon of phenyl(at the most)
I have made him drink a bottle of water.given him 1 antacid.
He has vomitted thrice.
But all other parameters are normal
I have also given him a glass of thinned and sweetened yoghurt.i.e. lassi
Should I worry

Hai.it is chemical poisoning, which irritates the mucous layer of the gastrointestinal tract.antacid syrup arond 30 ml stat dose , with inj pantoprazole and inj ondansetron (for vomiting) will be of help, u can go to the er smd get a first aid done. It causes lot of irritation (gastric, oropharynheal), , vomiting sensation, nausea.
