Hi Dr. I m 71 yo male with a history of cancer , non-hodgkin lymphoma 1988, had chemo. Dys ago went to hosp. with h/hever 104. 106. 0F . The fever remained unclerar. Need to know what is a diffuse lung haziness. do I have water in my lung . I feel weak and some days tired . thanks for your help
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done CT Thorax with contrast. As haziness on x ray can be due to 1. Infection 2. Spread of malignancy. 3. Fluid in the lung. But since you are also having high grade fever I think it is pneumonia (infection). You may also require bronchoscopy and BAL better evaluation of this. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
