thank you. I have been using azathioprine now for about 5mths. I have auto immune disease of the liver. I started on predizone. for six months. then slowly taken off that and put on the azathioprine gradually. I am taking 150ml daily. I have not been been feeling well for somertime now. and at xmas I had a turn which landed me in hospital tiwh very high blood pressure high and very high temps. I had a urine infection and low on potassium. which has never been a problem before. I am 72 yrs old . my dr has done a lot of tests to try to find out why I have been feeling so unwell since then but everything is coming back ok. on Thursday I woke up so sick , with flu like systoms and my legs were killing me. ok I got a bit better as the day went on. Friday was a disaster. I could not stop with my diarohere and wanted to vomit. allday. by the time I got to see a dr my blood pressure was 189/90 and a high temp . and mu legds and ancles were very very swollen. I went straight of the azathioprine and yesterday I was still pretty sick, today I feel a little better. do you think this could be caused by the azathioprine. sorry its such a big question. but I was also reading my specialiast should be in constant talk with my dr about this medication but that has nat been the case. thanks lyn
