My Husband Is 52 Years Old And In Pretty Good

my husband is 52 years old and in pretty good shape. He takes meds for cholesterol but nothing else. He exercises sporadically with running playing basketball and golfing. For the past few months he has been feeling not like himself. Exhausted constantly, feeling very bad in general but not being able to know why. Last week he had a bad sore throat with a cough - it wasn't strep - he took mucinex and it seemed to get better within a few days. But, still the tiredness and lethargy are here and he describes it as being in a funk.....is there anything you can suggest? Someone mentioned it could be allergies but I've been reading about them and it seems he should have some sort of sneezing etc for it to be allergies - your thoughts??
