Is Tikosyn Safe To Take As I Am Suffering With AFIB?

I have had AFib for over 15 years. I have been taking Coumadin and Toprol. The AF events last three or four days and night and are coming on fairly frequently lately. I am schedule to start Tikosyn in the hospital Tuesday morning and am very worried about taking this drug. Please advise.

The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.

     If the problem is still bothering to the extent of interfering with life style, there are advanced techniques of investigations – Electro Physiological Studies (EPS) > it resembles angio – a catheter is put inside the heart / electrical activity recorded / stimulation and suppression tests are carried out / suitable medicine tested and so on. Though the test is the gold standard, it is INVASIVE and is not generally done unless there are compelling indications. This super-speciality expert is called ELECTRO-PHYSIOLOGIST.
