i had foot surgery and was given cephalexin 500 t i d x10 days. i have gerd and barrets esoph and was getting headaches and renewed gerd cough, so i stopped my pain meds about day 7 and the symptoms continued, so i quit the antibiotics also. at 2 and 4 weeks my wound was good but now it is painful and infected. the surgeon ordered silver gauze, and 3 days later it looked better. day4 however it was very inflamed with visible pus. it was saturday, so i went to urgent care, and they prescribed cephalexin again, and i feel nauseated and have a bad non stop headache. can it be the cephalexin?
