Yes I Had A Compound Tib/fib With Surgery IM Nail

Yes I had a compound tib/fib with surgery IM nail and screws put in fibular. Now 10 months tibia has some growth 3 cortices and fibular looks like it is deteriorating, black in color in xray. Doctors tell me get on with your life and you really do not need fibular. I would think they would try to save it by a graft, maybe if they took out the 6 screw it would allow circulation and healing . I really do not know as they give me little info which I am not happy with. Been telling me I am healing now I saw another ortho and he told me I have a non union fibular. Originally one doctor wanted to leave the fib open but when I walked it kept pinching me inside and they when they did a skin grft on my muscle they screwed it together. What should be done? Thank You, John
