Following hip fracture surgery, prolonged bed rest is essential. This has to be followed by proper physiotherapy, exercise and rehabilitation without which the range of movement and the ease of movement are likely to be affected. If this is not done properly, the quality of her life afterwards would come down. But with proper rehabilitative measures she can have the same quality of life as earlier.
