Hello!
Thank you for the question on HCM!
I would highly recommend to eat a normal or excessive breakfast, because it is the main meal of the day which is influencing on your everyday activity. Eating a good breakfast helps with the concentration and memory, with your mood and also helps you maintain a good weight. If you skip breakfast you will probably have difficulty with concentration, memory loss , a bad mood and a weight gain , including other risks like diabetes, hypertension , coronary artery disease etc.
As for the Breakfast you have to make smart choices. If you eat a sugary breakfast, like a doughnut, you experience a sugar rush that wears off before lunch, sending you on the search for another high-sugar snack. For a quick breakfast, turn to whole-grain toast with peanut butter or cheese. Serve with a glass of milk or orange juice. Or blend some low-fat yogurt and berries for a delicious smoothie you can drink in the car.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Abaz Quka
