Would A Blood Test Report Help Treat Flu-like Symptoms And Fever?
I have a 16 y/o male patient complaining of general flu-like symptoms including elevated temp lasting more than 3 days. Labs are as follows: Platelet 117 Monocyte 28.0 (total WBC 5.4) Granulocytes 0.08 Absolute Monocytes 1.5 Absolute Eosinophils 0.0 ESR 37 Pro-BNP, NT 166.6 Cardio CRP 71.1

If flu like symptoms does not get resolved in 3 to 4 days, then ASO titer can be done and bacterial respiratory infection might be the possibility.
For that antibiotic course needs to be given and check CBC again after that.
Provide your CBC report as attachment for giving more comment. Your auscultation also should be done.
