Would Concerta Treat Bipolar Disorder With Borderline Personality?

hi im a 37 year old women with Bipolar 1 and 2 and borderline personality I take Sodium valproate 200mg twice a day and eflexor 75mg once a day been on them for 2 years they are not working I know they are I was told that concerta has helped them and made them feel normal my doctor just aint listening

Bipolar disorder with borderline personality is difficult to treat.
Sodium valproate and effexor can be used.You are not geeting improvement because you are given in low dose. Valproate should be given 30-40 mg/kg body weight per day in divided doses. Effexor also should be up to 150 mg.

Concerta(methyphenidate) not specifically useful in above problems. it is generally used only when attention deficit and hyperactive disorder problem is there.And it must be used under medical supervision only.

A psychotherapy called Dialectic Behavior therapy is also helpful in borderline personality disorder.
