It usually occurs after shaving, when hair is accidentally pulled out, and inflammation and infection occur, or when there s an irritation or an inflammatory reaction from the chemical contents of your feminine wash. Inflammation from uninfected follicles will subside in a few day s time on its own. If the lesion, gets infected, a cyst or an abscess formation might ensue.
