Will Tortuous Arteries Get More Winding And Block Blood Supply?

I am 70 years old, weigh 155 and 5 10 female. A year ago I flunked 2 stress tests, and they took me for an angiogram thinking I had a possible 70% blockage. I did not have blockages but my arteries are tortuous. i try to keep moving and keep my heart rate up a little...That blood has a long way to go since i am tall so i do not sit very long at a time. the S curves & turns show up especially in my hands. i was glad i did not need a stent, and so i suppose tortuous arteries is better than blocked arteries. i have never smoked, a walmart wine cooler is about the extent of my drinking occasionally. Anyway, are these arteries going to keep getting crooked enough to perhaps close off blood supply anywhere? i had my yearly check-up. a test monitor for 48 hours showed Premature Ventricular Contractions. i do wonder why i have this condition, how long it took to develop. Will it keep getting worse. Best of all, though...i feel great...just curious about tortuous arteries. Frances, Moore, Oklahoma

Hi....you need not worry about the tortuous arteries getting blocked.
As we age the supporting elements of our physical structure like collagen and elastin loose their tensile strength. These elements act like a meshwork which maintain the integrity of our tissues. So a certain degree of tortuosity in our blood vessels is a normal part of aging.
As far as you premature ectopics are concerned , over a period of 48 hours its quite normal to have a few missed beats and there is nothing to worry as long as you are not getting symptoms of palpitations, dizziness or sweating.
I hope this helps
