Will Taking Probiotics Cause Wheezing And Shortness Of Breath?

My wife started taking a probiotic and had a major wheezing attack, shortness of breath, and she died. She had food allergies , like cinnamon and the casen protein, she had to drink soy milk. Could a probiotic cause such a serious reaction in her system where she would stop breathing?

I m sorry to hear about your wife but my friend,
Frankly speaking if a person is allergic to particular chemicals, not only probiotic but any particle in the world ( to which person is allergic) may cause a severe form of allergy in that person which can lead to death in some critical instances.
As far as the probiotics are concerned per say they are not known to cause allergy, but one of the excipient used in it may cause the allergy if the person is allergic to it.
But as of now probiotics are not in the list of known allergy causing medications.
