Hi I can understand your concern.... Your cholesterol level high.... Particularly triglyceride very high. The drug you are telling is docosahexonoic acid which is omega 3 Fatty acid rich. It is used as nutritional supplement . But for lower down cholesterol you can better use atorvastatin like good drug that will be beneficial... You have to change life style habit for lower cholesterol. Take less fried and fatty food.... Fruits more. Green leafy veg more. Regular one hour active flooring exercise done. Jogging , running will be good. Avoid smoking. Although you have not asked I would suggest you to do following investigation ....... -tread mill -blood pressure measurement -usg abdomen for fatty liver and gall stone Take care
