Will Taking Lyrica Causes Weight Gain?
Hello there, my name is Merdy i hope you can preview my history, please tell me if you cant see it.
Does Lyrica really cause weigh gain ?, or is it the patients poor condition that continues to add weight i.e., depression on top of chronic pain, immobility, loss of livelihood, loss of relationships, on top of more depression and anxiety .
I stated Lyrica last night,300mg, it has almost removed my chronic pain and now i am able to walk. The acute spinal cord compression pain is still there. But i have gained 50kg in six months after a bad accident and serious complications ( also on corticosteriods ). I was normally skinny at 50 kg I can barely move on 2 crutches. just a bit worried that Lyrica will stack on the weight and il end up at 200kg in 2 years time.
I walk for half an hour a day and do small weights in a pathetic way.

Lyrica can be associated with weight gain in some persons. Medications that alter do weight may do so by different means such as: (1) altering appetite
(2)altering metabolism (3)altering levels of physical activities
You can reduce the chance of weight gain by making sure that you used foods and drinks that would not cause weight increase if you notice an increased in appetite. Make sure that you have healthy options available to you.
