Will Taking Flotral Be Safe For Prostrate Enlargement?

I get up frequently to urinate. I have prostate enlargement. Tried a couple of medicines in the past but effective. I was prescribed Flotral. Two queries:
a) Is Flotral safe in the long run as I have been advised that this is a long term solution?
b) If Flotral does not work, should I go for surgery?

This can be taken fora long time. For monitouring PSA test can bedone iF level goes up then biopsy can be done special technique in rectal route Other medication or radiation therapy can be given if requerred.
