Hello and welcome to HCM,
Hay fever is an Ig E mediated allergic condition.
It is precipitated by exposure to hay, mould, pollen or some other allergen.
It is usually controlled by anti-histaminic drugs.
If anti-histaminic drug are ineffective, leukotriene inhibitors may be used.

Septoplasty is a procedure done in wherein the septum of the nose is corrected by surgery.
It is done for deviated nasal septum, septal perforation, or any other septal defect.

Since, you have been suggested septoplasty, it appears that you have a septal defect besides hay fever.

Thanks and take care
