Will Otc Cream Or Solution Cure Peeling Palms?

I have peeling palms and it sounds like it is exfoliative keratoylis. It has happened the last couple of summers to me here in the desert (Las Vegas), but never before living here. It has always gone away after a month or so, but I wanted to know if there was a OTC cream or solution to treat it.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of peeling skin of palms especially in summers seems to be due to a condition known Keratolysis Exfoliativa that is a common skin condition leading to peeling of palms more specifically..
It is seen more in summers and in individuals with more sweating in hands known as Hyperhidrosis..
Nothing to worry as it is not a serious condition and will resolve soon..
You can apply thick coats of petroleum jelly and other emollients on the palms as it will help in peeling away the dead layers and make the skin clear and prevent further ex-foliation...
Creams containing urea ,lactic acid and using silica gel can help..
A chairside treatment known as Photochemotherapy at the dermatologist office can also relieve..
In case of no improvement consult a dermatologist and he can also rule out causes like Psoriasis,Epidermolysis Bullosa can be done and treated accordingly..
