Will Marijuana Help In H Pylori Infection? Is There A Legal Marijuana Medication?
I have been doing research on h.polri and gastro Titus(if I spelled it correct) and keep finding that people keep saying that marijuana helps them deal with the problems and some of them get it from a doctor and others do not. my question Is I live in ky and have h.plori and gastro Titus and on many med that make me sicks and keep me in the bath room and I stay sick a lot, and im not big on marijuana as I never smoked it but if it would help would it be worth trying??? my job does not drug test and do you know if the pill form or any form of marijuana is legal is ky?
H. Pylori is involved mainly in causing gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. It actually has no direct relationship with Marijuana consumption. However, in case you got H. Pylori infection associated with active peptic ulcer disease, other factors need to be considered here. Stress is an aggravating factor in gastritis or active peptic ulcer disease. I believe those who take Marijuana with this condition are actually using it to manage stress.
Marijuana has been allowed to be used legally mainly in oncology settings, to manage chronic pain in cancer patients. Even under such circumstances, strict control measures with respect to the allowed doses are still well monitored. I would suggest you check on the legal requirements with respect to drug use in your country. I am afraid Marijuana use is no indicated in peptic ulcer disease, and even if its allowed, you might be able to get the drug.
I suggest you consult your internist/gastroenterologist for a proper clinical review. there are very effective drugs today to treat and eradicate H. Pylori. Thanks and hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Bain LE, MD.
