Will Magnesium Reduce The Leg Cramps?

I am taking 50mg of Cytoxin a day for T cell LGL leukemia and 10 mg of prednisone - and have severe leg cramps in my feet and calves every night. Will magnesium at 450 mg daily possibly be helpful or interact any adverse way? Seriously????? This is a paid site........You all just missed the most incredible case-study in a life time!! I am a three time cancer survivor from Agent Orange - as a civilian American girl with the USO and you wanted $$$$ What a loss. For us all.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Magnesium is commonly prescribed to treat muscle cramps as magnesium deficiency is one of the causes for cramping.
There is no known interaction between Magnesium and Cytoxan when taken together, but I would still recommend a consultation with your doctor about the dosage.
Thank you
