Will It Be Safe To Use Cefixime For Stabilizing Pus Cells?
My baby (4.5 months) has 30-35 hpf pus cells in her stool (green with mucus) and we treated her with Furazolidone suspension for 5 days and there was no change later the dr prescribed cefixime and we used it for another 5 days and still no change of pus cell count. How can we handle this issue

What your kid is having is acute watery diarrhea or just a gastrocolic reflex . Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Unless there is blood in the motion there is no need for antibiotics or cultures or stool test. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS. For vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron 0.15mg/kg/dose thrice a day, 30minutes before feeds.
