Will Hypothyroidism With TSH Level 17.3 Affect The Baby?

Hi, I have hypothyroidism with TSH level 17.3, so is this the worst case? And what is the max TSH level in very worst case... Secondly I had hypothyroidism in my 2nd pregnancy too and was on medication till the last day of delivery, will there be any type of disorder or effect in my child due to this?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have hypothyroidism. Your TSH level is high and its 17.3. It is not worst cases. Many people have TSH level of more then hundreds. But hypothyroidism in mother definitely affect the fetal health.

You should take proper treatment. Hypothyroidism in mother can leads to mental retardation and developmental defect in in baby. So treatment is necessary.
