Will Going To A Gym Reduce Growth Before Being Fully Developed?

I'm 14 years old and have encountered a big interest with fitness. I started going to the gym about 2 months after I turned 13, and have been going to the gym for over a year now. My worry is that I've heard that going to the gym before being fully developed can stun your growth, is this true? One of the things I've heard is that lifting weights that goes against your body weight, such as squatting, can push your growth plates together, without it developing naturally. I was wondering if these myths are true, and if I should stop going to the gym. Right now, I'm about 5 and a half months into 14 years of age, and I am currently 5'6". Thank you.

Hellooo...
This is a common question asked by all youngsters, and its just a myth , there's no proof to substantiate this claim that going to the gym stunts your growth , and frankly it does not , so not to worry keep hitting the gym hard and put on some muscle but train naturally and refreain using any anabolic drugs.
Happy lifting :)
Thank you and take care
