Will External Hemorrhoid Ever Go Away?

i have been dealing with an external hemorrhoid (I can see it) for over a month now. I have tried multiple options to help with making it go away. recently I started using just witch hazel wipes and pure vitamin E on the affected area after using the restroom. it seems like everything is getting better UNTIL I have a BM. The spasms are really bad after I have a BM. My BM s are not too big (I do not have a constipation problem, my hemorrhoid was caused by going to the bathroom too much!). My BM s are soft (but not runny). I am raising my legs in a squat position and not straining. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??????? will this ever go away??? it literally is screwing up my day to day

Hi
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read whole your question and understand the concern.

First, you need to get diagnosed about the exact number of piles and the degree of them by complete anal examination or proctoscopy.

You do need to raise your legs in squatting position during bowel movement as this will not cure your problem.

Treatment of piles depends on its degree.
If it is 1st or 2nd degree piles then it can be managed conservatively means without surgery.

You might require,
1) topical steroids like anovate cream,

2) oral antibiotics (ofloxacin with ornidazole),

3) antiinflammatory and antihistamines,

4) laxatives or purgative if constipation with other

5) supportive treatment like hot sitz bath and

6) avoid oily, spicy and non-veg diet with high intake of dietary fibers like salads.

If it is 3rd or 4th degree means partial or complete rectal prolapse then surgery is the best way to get cured with all above conservative treatment.

So,it would be better to consult general surgeon for further treatment rather than taking self medication.

Regards,
