Will An Alcoholic Drink Affect A Patient, Diagnosed With Alcoholic Hepatitis Earlier?

Was diagnosed with alcoholic hepatitis two years ago, I stopped drinking. I will not go back drinking but am worried if I drink again I ll die. All my liver tests are completely normal now, but I fear that a slip up will do me in. I don t want permission to drink, I just want the truth to ease my mind. Fear has kept me sober, but has also has made me paranoid, and I don t like being affraid.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
If you have had h/o alcoholic hepatitis, then it is always good to refrain from alcohol, because it does affect liver cells very badly. SInce you have recovered well, then best way is to do not succumb to that temptation. Because repeat exposure can damage the liver cells really badly. thanks.
