Will A Turp Surgery Be Suggested For Prostate Problem

My age is 54 I have prostate problem for the past 7 years for which Iam taking minipress 2.5 mg tab regularly at bed time.Recently I underwent uroflow test I found urine rate persec is found as 6ml per sec.Shall I need to have turp surgery or can I prolong it by taking alternative medicine

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have obstructive voiding symptoms due to enlarged prostate and your uroflometry studies have revealed your urine flow to be 6 ml per second which normally should be 15 ml per second.

Please consult qualified urologist for clinical assessment to find out post void urine residue .
It is advisable to undergo TURP to resolve the problem for forever.
