and now the dandruff is completely under control . will my hair regrow automatically . what might be the reason for hair thinning ?

Protar-K contains coal tar along with ketoconazole. It is useful for dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp and also for scalp psoriasis.
Severe dandruff can lead to hair fall and if not controlled it can lead to decreased hair density.
Once dandruff is under control, hair fall will stop and new hair growth will begin but since this process is slow ( hair grows at the rate of 1cm per month), so noticeable improvement can be seen after 6 months. In the mean time it is important to keep the dandruff under control by using an antidandruff shampoo regularly.
