Difene (Diclofenac sodium) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly prescribed to treat moderate to severe painful conditions. Its most common side effects include vomiting, gastiritis (inflammation of the stomach), stomach ulcer or bleeding which are due to the harmful effects of stomach acid.

This stomach acid can be suppressed if certain drugs like Nexium (Esomeprazole) is taken along with Difene tablets.

Nexium will not only protect the lining of the stomach but also promote the healing of the stomach ulcers.

So, you may continue to take the prescribed medications.

Hope this answers your query.
