Will LDopa Help A Person With Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia?
Will LDopa help a person with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia? I have a baclofen pump that helps me walk but I still have to use a walker if I m walking a long distance and I use a cane if it s a short distance. My doctor said the baclofen would help me be able to walk but the disease will still eventually paralyze me. So if I take LDopa also, will it help me walk better where I won t have to use a cane or a walker?

Will LDopa Help A Person With Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia?
Hello, L-dopa does not have much role in spastic paraplegia. Consult a neurologist and he will direct you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain
