Wife Is Pregnant. Have Back, Stomach Pain. Prescribed Gestofit 200 And Folimust-D. How Does The Medicine Help?

helo sir. This is santosh. my wifes last period date is 28th march. after tht i have checked in the pregency testing kit and got a result +ve. then after some time she had pain in backbone and stomac. i have cousulted with the local doctor and the doctor prescribed to Gestofit 200 and Folimust-D for a month. This is my 2nd issue. so Doctor can i please know the cause of the medicine and use of the above medicine..

I am happy to answer your question, first your wife is pregnant and this is good that you have consulted Gynecologist.
Regarding medicines she has been prescribed natural progesterone and the dose is a good one.Please be assured progesterone doesn't have any adverse side effects.Progesterone is vital for a successful pregnancy.
Other drug in question is combination of Folic Acid (5 mg), Methylcobalamin (750 mcg), and Docosahexaenoic Acid (100mg).
it is very much necessary for the brain development of fetus.
This is also known to prevent neural tube defects.
