Widal Test Shows S Typhi O And H Positive. History Of Jaundice, Bilirubin 1.0 Mg/dl After Treatment. Possible Typhoid?
my widal test report is as follows
S.TYPHI(O)= 1:160(POSITIVE)
S.TYPHI(H)= 1:160(POSITIVE)
S.P TYPHI(AO)= NEGATIVE
S.P TYPHI(AH)= NEGATIVE
S.P TYPHI(BO)= NEGATIVE
S.P TYPHI(BH)= NEGATIVE
SIR I WAS SUFFERING THROUGH JAUNDICE DUE HIGH BILLIRUBIN (1.1 mg/dl).after treatment now it is 1.0 mg/dl but widal test is positive as reported above.do i have typhoid ?. my esr is 20 mm/1st hour

thx for posting q,widal test has no diagnostic and prognostic value in diagnosing typhoid fever bc once its positive ,it will remain positve (you can read more about the typhoid from the infectios disease online),the best is do your liver function test and abdominal ultrasound as very high LIVER ENZYMES REAVELD HEPATITS ,CAUSE SHOULD BE RULED OUT BY DOING USG ABDOMEN,HAVIGN HEPATIS B AND C SERLOGY ,ENSURE GOOD HYGIENE,PROTECTED SEX and avoid sharing razor,blade and slaoon shops
