I've been taking hrt for close to 6 years and would like to get off them. My normal dose is taking the estrogen for 1 - 25 days and then the progesterone from day 24 - 31 which brought back my period. My doctor has just decreased the estrogen strength in half but has increased the progesterone to daily. Could you please explain to me why I know have to take them this way instead of just cutting back on the estrogen?
